I live by my heart. I love big. My heart is wide-open to the world, which is usually a wonderful thing but occasionally gets me into trouble because living wide-open means you’re also wide-open to getting hurt. But if I have to err on one side or the other, I’d rather love too big than to be closed-off.
But sometimes my heart takes awhile to catch up to my head…like when I know something with my head, I know it logically, but my heart is slow to believe it, to understand it. And sometimes my heart understands something but my head lags behind…And that’s a lot of what this blog is about. The heart divide. My head and heart rarely truly being in the same place but working towards that synthesis.
I’m married to Jango, and we have 2 sons, Wickett (5) and Boba (3). These are obviously not their real names…but I’m a big Star Wars nerd. 🙂 I’m also a university-level theatre professor, a natural childbirth educator and doula, a crafter, an ordained (off the internet) minister, an occasional actor and playwright, and yogi.
So…Namaste, my friends. Glad to have you here.
